Following the Dream

I always thought that I would get my master’s degree. My mother has her master’s, and my father has a B.S. and a B.B.A. So I naturally expected that I, too, would get more than just a four year degree. But during college, I met and married my husband. He lived far away from any university, in the country. I still wanted to get more education, but I would rather have him than the education. Several years and two kids later, we were still living in the same town and I was still looking for more schooling. So after the kids both got in school, I started looking at online colleges and universities. To my surprise, there were actually quite a few of them. I applied for a few and was pleased to find that I could get scholarships to attend as well. Now while the kids are at school, I too go to school. By the time they are in college, I hope to be one of their teachers.
