TURNING EXHIBIT
AT WOODCRAFT/ROCKSIDE
WIN A JET MINI-LATHE!
Sat. May 11
Mike Novak of the Rockside Woodcraft store is sponsoring a Turning Exhibition on Saturday, May 11, 2002.
He intends to have turning going on in the store shop all day, and it will be a good opportunity for both Buckeye and NCWT to show off some of their work and recruit members.
To encourage a display of some of our best work he is offering a Jet Mini-lathe as a prize for the best turning on show from our two clubs that day. You can bring in a turning early that day and then pick it up before closing or just get it in by 3 PM as judging will be at 4 PM, and you could take it home after that.
Robert Rosand, from Bloomsburg, PA and Vice President of the AAW will demonstrate at the March meeting for both Saturday and Sunday. See the back page for more information!
Woodworkers Show- Mar 8-10
The Woodworker’s Show will again be held at the Summit County Fairgrounds just north of Akron over March 8,9 and 10, a Fri, Sat, Sun.
Don Gasler is the Organizer, and will need about 8-12 volunteers to bring turnings to the show and to demo on the two lathes we will plan to have there. Demonstrators who have signed up in advance will get free admission to the show!
This show will also be the public debut of our new club banner- many thanks to Jim Pugh for obtaining this for the club!
