Those who need to file bankruptcy because of job loss and trouble finding employment may have to file under Chapter 7, or find some other way out of indebtedness, such as consolidation or an equity loan. When consulting a Chapter 13 bankruptcy attorney, he will lay out the options and will know his client’s ability to obtain new loans or credit without the court’s permission. The debtor’s bank may be one of those which offers “secured” credit cards, those with a certain amount of money put on it by the cardholder. Two years after going bankrupt, clients will once again be eligible for mortgage loans on the same terms as someone who never filed for bankruptcy.

Everyone has a different idea when it comes to construction safety. It all depends on what point of view you are coming from. The employer, the employee, legislators and even the property owners all have different opinions. What is really needed for the construction safety issue is to take all the suggestions and set aside the self interests and put a plan in place.

I am hoping that I will get a call back from the employment lawyers that I called last week. I really need to speak to someone about my benefits. I think my last employer was taking money out of my check, but not paying any in on my account. Or something else is wrong. I am getting denied when there should be no reason for me not to be eligible. Hopefully I can get this all figured out soon. I really need the money for my rent and electric. Otherwise I may be moving back in with my parents. And that will not be fun!

In Chapter 13 bankruptcy, the advantage to the creditor is that most, if not all, because outstanding balances will eventually be paid. However, any amounts left unpaid at the end of the maximum five-year term are automatically discharged. Repayment through Chapter 13 also helps borrower/debtors reestablish responsible borrowing power more quickly. A repayment plan presents a clear record of consistent and faithful payments, including credit card debt elimination, which demonstrates to potential lenders a commitment to honor future financial obligations. But credit card debt repayment doesn’t have to depend on bankruptcy. Excessive spending is like a malignant tumor; sometimes it just has to be cut out!

While in the parent pickup line at my daughter’s elementary school, I was rear ended by a school bus. Keep in mind that I drive a teeny tiny compact car, and this was a full sized big yellow bus. My daughter had her door opened and was just getting in the vehicle when the school bus hit us from behind. My car jumped forward and my daughter fell on the ground. She had scrapes and bruises, I had whiplash, and the back of my compact car was crunched up like a tin can. We went to the hospital, and one of the nurses gave me a card for an Accident Injury Lawyer that she was currently using. The lawyer took care of everything, I got money for a new car, and our emergency room bills were paid.

My friend decided to take the day off from work to meet with the overtime attorney. I told her I would be happy to attend the meeting with her. She was very nervous. I told her everything would be fine, all she needed to do was present the facts. The attorney is very confident that she has a good case. She was relieved when the meeting was finally over. I told her that I would be there to support her any way I could. My friend only had one question for the lawyer. She just wanted to know how long it would take to resolve. He told her he was not sure.

My wife and I were in a rather bad auto accident that was not our fault. Our car was destroyed and she and I have both sustained injuries that have resulted in us having to be off of work for quite some time. Neither of us have been released to return to work but we don’t have any sick-leave left and the bills are starting to stack up. Because of the way everything has happened she and I have decided that we are going to look into some Accident Attorneys. We need someone on our side that will fight for what we deserve.

Since creditors hold no collateral, they have very little legal leverage when it comes to collecting. The courts sympathize with debtors who are unable to repay delinquent accounts due to legitimate circumstances; but the court looks closely against those who buy on credit with no intention of repaying. Unlike secured debts, mortgages, auto loans, student loans, alimony, child support and some taxes, mounds of unsecured claims can be wiped clean with one discriminate wave of the Chapter 7 bankruptcy judge’s gavel; and creditors can do little to protest. Filing an adversary proceeding or alleging fraud against the borrower/debtor may be an option, but in it may be to no avail.

I am expecting that there will be many issues for us to discuss as the appearances go on and this first one is just to see the judge, enter a plea and get a date for a future pretrial conference. This was all made clear to me because I have spoken to a specialty practice dui lawyer who has my case and is taking care of all the paperwork and the appearances that will be required.
