Every day you pick up the newspaper and read about how someone was injured on the job and frequently that job is at a construction site. Construction safety has become a big issue. I think there have even been political elections won or lost over this issue. Everyone has a different idea when it comes to construction safety. I am hoping that I will get a call back from the employment lawyers that I called last week. I really need to speak to someone about my benefits. I think my last employer was taking money out of my check, but not paying any in on my account. Or something else is wrong. I am getting denied when there should be no reason for me not to be eligible. Hopefully I can get this all figured out soon. I really need the money for my rent and electric. Otherwise I may be moving back in with my parents. And that will not be fun!

While in the parent pickup line at my daughter’s elementary school, I was rear ended by a school bus. Keep in mind that I drive a teeny tiny compact car, and this was a full sized big yellow bus. My daughter had her door opened and was just getting in the vehicle when the school bus hit us from behind. My car jumped forward and my daughter fell on the ground. She had scrapes and bruises, I had whiplash, and the back of my compact car was crunched up like a tin can. We went to the hospital, and one of the nurses gave me a card for an Accident Injury Lawyer that she was currently using. My friend decided to take the day off from work to meet with the overtime attorney. I told her I would be happy to attend the meeting with her. She was very nervous. I told her everything would be fine, all she needed to do was present the facts. The attorney is very confident that she has a good case. She was relieved when the meeting was finally over. I told her that I would be there to support her any way I could. My friend only had one question for the lawyer. She just wanted to know how long it would take to resolve. He told her he was not sure.

My wife and I were in a rather bad auto accident that was not our fault. Our car was destroyed and she and I have both sustained injuries that have resulted in us having to be off of work for quite some time. My conference this week was with the guy who is going to represent me in court for my case that goes to the first appearance next week. I am expecting that there will be many issues for us to discuss as the appearances go on and this first one is just to see the judge, enter a plea and get a date for a future pretrial conference. This was all made clear to me because I have spoken to a specialty practice dui lawyer who has my case and is taking care of all the paperwork and the appearances that will be required.
